Free Mix Bliss vs DJ O-Sin
March 6th, 2011

Here’s a house mix the lovely and talented dj O-Sin and I cooked up together when I was touring in Indonesia. I have to be honest the style is more to her taste then mine, but we had fun in the studio making it and I like the final result… guess that’s all that matters. Enjoy!

Spotlight On: STIX
October 8th, 2010

The newest Mixtape “Better Late Than Never” by Watts City artist Stix has the industry talkin’. This sexy talented California boy is making quite a name for himself, and if you haven’t heard of him yet, you will soon.

STIX is by no means your typical HipHop artist, without a record label he has managed to produce, record, perform and promote numerous songs and demos, overcoming adversity and gaining celebrity status in his own right, with a worldwide audience and following for his music.

The mixtape is a refreshing change, forgoing the usual theme of cops, robbers, strippers and drug kingpins and engaging listeners to speak on the meanings of his metaphorical trademark sound. What you’re left with is a sanguine, feelgood treat for the ears and soul. I def want to remix one of these tracks I just have to decide which one.

“My mix tape cover has deep symbolism behind the artwork. By no means am I trying to say that I am Jesus the prophet. The artwork means that this is my second coming to the music scene. The thorn crown piercing my head with blood running down, is symbolic for the pain I have suffered with the business side of the music industry. The constant betrayal and disloyal activity. The glasses on my face represent knowledge and wisdom. The do’s and don’ts I have accumulated going through my trials and tribulation. The title “Better Late Than Never” I relate it to my entry in the music game on a mainstream level. At least I got to enter the game. I might have entered later than I wanted to, but at least I’m here”
I applaud anyone who is all about doing things their own way and taking it to the next level. Plus, he looks damn cute in those glasses ;P

Tropical Bliss Tour 2010
July 27th, 2010

My last tour was killer I had an amazing time playing overseas!  All the different venues, the culture (the cute girls!) & the food! *drool* I’m already a huge fan of nasi goreng & sautee so it was sweet that they serve it, oh just practically everywhere there.

The hotels were beautiful & my ppls hooked up a pretty rad birthday party for me, since the tour cut right through my ‘special day’. I missed my friends & fam but it was interesting to celebrate in a totally different country.

A surprise b-day present was a mini vacay in Bali, before the tour started… , it’s simply breathtaking. The villa I stayed in was gorgeous.. fresh squeezed watermelon juice every morning & a pool, cabana & jacuzzi right outside my door. Then if you walked down the path a little bit there were tiny pet monkeys harnessed to the trees.

The actual shows were so much fun, had an amazing time ^_^

Olympics, Crazies & Facebook Drama
March 4th, 2010

Why was this week so slow when last week just flew by? I blame the Olympics, which were awesome btw! Such an whirlwind experience and Canada kicked a$$ with 14 gold medals. Nicely done, Go Canada!  (and USA getting silver and coming in 2nd when they thought they’d be 5th was pretty dope too)

So all week I’ve been getting up super early and falling asleep the same time I did when I was 12. Leaving oodles of long hours during the day to do everything I need to do (and I have so much to do right now between work and personal projects which I’ll tell you more about later ;) ) not to mention I’m moving at the end of the month so I have to start looking at new places as well.

Went to see The Crazies the other night, I didn’t want to see it because I thought it was about something else, so I was pleasantly surprised. Its pretty gory tho. I hate movies where I have to cover my eyes for half of it- I’m pretty sure I can live a full, content life not knowing what someone looks like strapped to a table being stabbed to death with a pitchfork. If that’s your brand of vodka however, you really should go see it.

A friend showed me this, oh the wonders of facebook. I alternately laughed and then felt bad for the girl then laughed again. Your thoughts? Is it too much?
