I’m a lil bit disgusted buy the consumer greed that runs rampant through the crowds on boxing day, but I can’t say much about it this year as I myself had to dive into the throng headfirst. Usually I sleep through most of the day following Christmas, so maybe I’m just not desensitized to it? I had a good excuse though; leaving the country for two weeks starting tomorrow left me no choice but to brave the mall-chaos and plead with sales girls to let me do a couple exchanges while I picked up last minute essentials like batteries, foundation …and a couple skirts and tops that were such a good deal I’d be crazy not to pass them up. *blush*

They call it Boxingday Madness for a reason, the crush of my fellow bargain hunters was so thick I could barely move at times! My girl friend and I expertly weaved our way in and out of the congestion like the seasoned shoppers we both are, but even still this was not a place to be if you were in a hurry (which I was) and we had to take frequent breaks outside to cool off and regain our composure. The day was hot and intense I think we both walked off our Christmas dinner and then some, but we survived with noone getting too agressive and the general atmosphere was rushed but pleasant. Overall a surprisingly enjoyable experience, but the icing on the cake was my last stop. A big name electronics store that was so suffocating with shoppers you couldnt move unless you took ‘side roads’ meaning random deserted isles and circled around til you closed in on what you wanted. I almost lost my mind trying to find a Middle East compatible power adapter for my hair iron.. but finally a nice sales guy not only helped me but rang me up at one of those little stations, and in doing so let me cut in front of a good 20 people in line. (I didn’t realize there was a line when I asked him for help it was too crowded) Big thanks to my gf and the angel sales guy if you’re reading this you saved my day and my sanity!!! xx

It’s 10pm, I leave for Beirut, Lebanon at 2pm tomorrow and as usual I’m rushing around doing last minute things. I’m about 75% packed but I still have a whole list of things to do before I take off. My boy and I are playing at Citrus nightclub in downtown Beirut this New Years Eve, its going to be magical!!. My first overseas gig! I can’t believe it’s finally happening!! =)

I will of course take many photos to share with all of you, but I may be a little out of touch for the next two weeks, I have no idea what kind of internet access I’ll have out there.

It’s almost December, Just 1 week to go! I can’t wait to put I’m my tree but I promised myself I’d wait til the 1st week of December. Just because all the stores cram xmas down your throat the day after Halloween doesn’t mean I have to too ^_^ I am proud to admit I’ve actually started Christmas shopping! Well if you can call one gift ‘shopping’ but to me that’s a damn good start.

If you leave enough time (for shipping), you can do lots of your gift buying online. We all have those oddballs or difficult-to-buy-for people on our list, and I found some really great ideas from Thinkgeek.com and other online stores, that would titillate even the most finicky and make sure your gift doesn’t end up in the back of the closet.

The first one is my favorite: Take it back to the Oldskool with a modern take on the classic boardgame for hours of zombie gaming fun!

Who loves sushi? I do!!! even tho I can’t eat it, so I have teriyaki rolls instead which are close enough. These Sushi plushies with their little happy faces are just too cute, sure to be adored by the sushi obsessed in your life!

I’ve seen those T-qualizers that light up in time to music, and even convinced an ex to wear a hidiously tacky Halloween t-shirt with flashing LED’s sprinkled all over it but this is something else! The Electronic Rock Guitar Shirt is a ‘fully playable guitar built into a t-shirt’ complete with it’s own mini amp and adjustable volume. As the website states: “the Electronic Guitar Shirt is incredibly easy to play because each button on the neck is a major chord. She went on to mention how you can play dozens of classic rock songs with very little skill” Now that is Bad Ass.

I f***’ing love this clock. We all know someone who is always late for everything, and this clock was made just for them. Everytime I look at it I smile, and I think it would make a great conversation piece. Aamazon.com wants to sell it to you for $100 bucks, but its just corkboard and paint so with a little effort you could easily make it yourself out of an old clock for a fraction of the price ;P

Hey guys, well my Halloween was a DISASTER! Thurs night I came down with the flu, a trip to the hospital @ 2 am confirmed it was H1N1. Oh joy. So needless to say the party was cancelled, but amazingly enough I only spent 2 full days feeling really sick. I holed up here with my roomie (also sick) and we watched movies and ate soup and Halloween candy. The last of which prolly wasn’t the best idea but I refused to have a Halloween without candy! I was shocked to hear how many people were going out to party even tho they knew they were sick, so I suspect even more of my friends will catch it this week if they haven’t already. Now the doctor specifically said I had H1N1 aka Swine Flu (ew) but I didn’t find the symptoms that bad, no worse then any other annual flu. By day 3 I was able to function again ^_^ I hope all of you had a more exciting Halloween then I did lol!

It wouldn’t be Halloween if I didn’t post some sexy costume pics.. I wanted to do the ZoMbIe NuRsE, but I’m too lazy to do all the make-up right now so you’ll have to make do with these instead ;P

It’s that time of year again! The time of year for parties & costumes, pumpkin carving and haunted houses. My personal favorite holiday.. Halloween!

I always make a BIG deal out of it.. going to parties, throwing my own parties, dressing up, decorating the house in tacky cobwebs and inflatable gravestones, carving the pumpkin, buying candy er.. well that’s a new one. Up until recently I still went trick or treating. No seriously, me and a friend would get all decked out in dark loose-fitting costumes with masks (to hide the fact we are clearly not kids, just kids at heart!) and do the whole door to door thing. And it was just as much fun at 18 as it was at 8. Perhaps more fun because I could stay up late, party after and more importantly didn’t have to worry about the ‘rents digging into my candy and stealin’ all the good stuff *shakes fist* haha.. you know what I’m talking about. So as the years go by, this particular holiday has gotten progressively better!

Now the costume is something I take very seriously, prolly too seriously. But I start thinking about it merely weeks after Halloween passes, planning it out for the following year. I change my mind a bunch of times but usually I have it worked out to the last detail months in advance.

This year I just can’t seem to make up my mind. There’s too many cute options and none of them holds my preference more then the others. So with just a couple weeks to go and no answer in sight I thought maybe you guys can help me?
